2008 KISS Schedule
Promises Spring Excitement
January 19, 2008 –- The Alberta Clipper? A Siberian Cold
Wave? It’s just Mother Nature’s way of helping us
better appreciate pleasant spring weather. With the first official
day of spring less than 60 days away, planning for the racing
season has moved into top gear. Six of the top sprint car venues
in the nation will present the 2008 King Of Indiana Sprint Series
programs.
SCHEDULE. Gas City’s I-69
Speedway will again launch the KISS program as they drop the
green flag on Friday, May 16. The second round comes just a
week later as Lawrenceburg Speedway adds wheel-to-wheel sprint
car racing to the Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday, May 24.
Bloomington Speedway hosts the KISS racers and fans the next
weekend, with a Friday night show on May 30. The fourth weekend
of KISS racing is a double-header, with Haubstadt’s Tri-State
Speedway running Saturday night, June 7, followed by Kokomo
Speedway’s annual Sunday show on June 8. The series will
then celebrate the first day of summer by crowning the 2008
King Of Indiana on Saturday, June 21 at Paragon Speedway.

CHAMPIONS. Jon Stanbrough is the
defending KISS champion. Only Billy Puterbaugh kept Stanbrough
from sweeping all of the 2008 races. He has worn the King’s
crown three of the past five years and his 11 KISS feature wins
tops the series’ history.
SPONSORS. Bedford’s Indiana
Stone Works, Elliottbrand Web Designs, in Westport, IN, and
Kiva Networking in Bloomington are returning sponsors for the
KISS series. KISS is continuing to look for sponsorships for
the upcoming series. Not only will a sponsor actively participate
in one of the most exciting sprint car programs of the coming
